Club History

The Diamond Point development was built in the mid 1960s by Deane Bros., then of Huntington Beach, California. The development consists of 656 homes and the Clubhouse facility/pool/tennis courts. The boundaries of our neighborhood are generally Sunset Crossing, Golden Springs, and the 60 Freeway.

There are seven home styles

  • The Marquis Plan One, three exteriors
  • The Tiffany Plan Two, four exteriors
  • The Emerald Plan Three, five exteriors
  • The Briolette Plan Four, three exteriors
  • The Crescent Plan Five, three exteriors
  • The Jubilee Plan Six, five exteriors
  • The Chanticlaire Plan Seven, six exteriors
  • A price list dated March 25, 1965 shows home prices ranging from $20,950 for the Marquis to $32,750 for the Chanticlaire.

(The Crescent was not on this list.)

Deane Bros. issued a Certificate of Value and two of the seven models received awards in the Better Homes and Gardens 1965 Better Homes for All America Program as reported in an 1965 news article (source and exact date not known).
